During those difficult stretches for the family, they tracked down a silver lining. Kathleen was an organ giver. Her liberal endowment of life helped 12 distinct individuals.
“As we get to know more about that process … recipients who receive [Kathleen’s] organs, it’s something that will be continually lifting us,” Jesse said.
Kathleen was described as a wonderful person. She was loving and caring, and she continued spreading her generosity even after her life.
“I don’t know if she ever met someone she couldn’t find a way to love and care about,” Jesse told GMA. “Her heart was wide open. Her heart and her kindness and her willingness to love.”
Kathleen’s kids will know that their mother kicked the bucket a legend. “I’m happy my children will know their mother for doing that,” Jesse said. “My kid told his 1st grade class that his mother has ‘helped individuals.'”
I accept that this story ought to act as a wake up call of the significance of organ gift.
