A West Virginian man who was arrested last week for trying to kill his sister after she just emerged from a two-year coma has passed away.
Following the incident in June 2020 that left his sister Wanda “attacked, hacked, and left for dead,” Daniel J. Palmer III, 55, was charged with attempted murder and malicious injury, according to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia.
Palmer was taken to the Charleston Hospital on Wednesday, according to Jackson County Sheriff Ross Mellinger, and was later declared deceased.

Mellinger thinks that natural causes are most likely to blame for his demise.

According to Mellinger, it was a deluge of persistent health problems. “He wasn’t a particularly healthy man to begin with, and while he was in jail, things went even worse for him in terms of his health.”
He was detained for a week.
